Augmented Vacant is a collection of three compositions made up of field recordings, recordings of acoustic instruments, and Daniella's voice. The pieces were composed while working on a performance for Sprawl Festival (Israel), a festival of performances and DJ sets curated by Tai Rona for listening while sleeping and zoning out in the open air. The process naturally drew out a nocturnal, haunting mood from Daniella's compositions.
Daniella Ljungsberg is a singer, composer, and producer working with field recordings, analog synths, digital processing of acoustic materials, and abstract ambiences. In recent years Daniella has been focusing on sampling and granular synthesis, primarily using a sampling and granulation tool in Max/MSP built by sound artist and researcher Amir Boltzman.
